Our museum is open to the public free of charge. Beginning July 22, 2024, no prior reservation is required to visit Shenzhen Museum. Visitors can enter after passing the security check.
A complete visit to the museum typically takes 2 to 4 hours. It is recommended to check the museum's official website or related introductions before your visit to understand the themes and content of the exhibitions, and plan your route based on your interests and available time. For Shenzhen Museum of Tongxin Road (Ancient Art) and Shenzhen Museum of Jintian Road (History and Folk Culture), you can take the elevator to the top floor and proceed downwards floor by floor, allowing for a continuous, non-repetitive tour.
Group Tours: Visiting groups of 20 or more people can make an appointment for a guided group tour by submitting a formal request letter to Shenzhen Museum. Currently, guided tours are provided in Mandarin only.
Self-Service Audio Guides: At Shenzhen Museum of Tongxin Road (Ancient Art), self-service audio guide devices (available in Chinese and English) can be rented for use for the following two exhibitions: “Annals Inscribed Bronze——Exhibition of Bronze Ware of Shenzhen Museum” and “Quest for China Ware Culture——Exhibition of Ancient Chinese Ceramics of Shenzhen Museum”.
At Shenzhen Museum of Jintian Road (History and Folk Culture), audio guide devices (available in Korean) are available for the following three exhibitions: "Ancient Shenzhen," "Modern Shenzhen," and "Shenzhen Folk Culture."
Senior citizens, children, pregnant women, persons with disabilities, active-duty military personnel, fire and rescue personnel, as well as visitors holding foreign passports, Home Visit Permits (for Hong Kong and Macao residents), or Taiwan Compatriot Permits, can enjoy priority access via the designated green channel upon presentation of valid personal identification.
